The Committee and members of The Archaeological Society Malta mourn the passing of Dr Mario Tabone. An ophthalmologist by profession, Dr Tabone was an erudite man of wide-ranging interests who had Malta’s cultural heritage at heart. This was manifest in particular during the five years when he was at the helm of Heritage Malta. Participants in the 2017 ASM tour of Western Sicily will recall his congenial company and that of his dear wife, Josephine.
